Pendulum
Back and forth, back and forth
Neither here, neither there
Oscillating life
A wisp of smoke
Night and day, night and day
The perfect cocktail
Sweet vinegar
The joy of life
The life in joy
Boundless energy
Exciting possibilities
The fear in darkness
The darkness in fear
Swallowing dreams, dashing hopes
Joy and sorrow
One here, the other not too far away
Your daily guests
Life is all about balance, they say
Don’t be too happy
Don’t be too sad
Lest you fall
And bruise your knee
You’re a pendulum
One moment sad, one moment joyful
Don’t feel too deeply
Never stay too long
Oscillate
I’ve been dealing with horrible insomnia. So this poem came to me in the middle of the night.
I hope you enjoyed it!

Nature is wonderful. Two sides to so many things. Take the homosapiens. Two hands. Two legs. Two eyes. Two lips. Two sets of dentition. Very similar.Take the environment. Two parts of one full day- daytime and nighttime. Land and waters. Very different. Can any one of the above be happy without the other? Maybe. Maybe not.. Insomnia? No. Call it night vigil. God is talking to you. Listen carefully. Because you sound and write so philosophical when you loose your sleep. Could be God wants to reveal Himself to you. The poem you have created is world class. It can be part of a collection ripe for well-advertized launching. Anywhere. Your inspired write-up covers alot. The pendulum swings without food. As soon as it goes into motion, it can only be stopped by external forces. It does not require additional energy to perform its work. We learn so many things from the behavior and characteristics of the pendulum. No cheating. No favoritism. No malice. No bribery. No corruption(fantastically or fundamentally). No padding! No colour code. No North. No South South. No South East. No South West. No freeborn. No Caste. No Jews. No Gentiles. No Hausa. No Yoruba. No Ibo. No Efik. The pendulum has only one language in its own world. Just. Just being just. How I wish we learn from the joyous world of the pendulum! This title – Pendulum – is obviously borne out of an inspiration. One, carry go!

Let the Redeemed of the Lord say so. This is one of my favorite verses. It came to mind, so I am sharing it. It is a good thing to know the LORD, and to walk in His Ways. I am His child, and I walk by faith. I went back to see the pendulum again. Yes, I think it is really neat.
